Ossining Volleyball honors breast cancer survivor at Pink Out game

By: Anthony DiNoto

On Monday, October 17, Ossining Varsity and JV volleyball played in the Pink Out Breast Cancer Awareness game vs. White Plains in honor of breast cancer survivor Liz Rodriguez.

Ms. Rodriguez, the aunt of a JV player, recently won her battle against stage 2 metastatic breast cancer. To celebrate her incredible triumph, players wore custom designed shirts made specifically for the event. The bright pink t-shirts were also available for purchase to raise money for all those affected by cancer.

Before the start of the game, a procession of Ossining volleyball players handed Ms. Rodriguez a flower to show their support for her and her family.
