Ossining Y2Y Runs GoFundMe Campaign For Leadership Conference

The students who go to these conferences are peer leaders making a difference at Ossining High School.

OSSINING, NY — The Youth 2 Youth club of teen leaders at Ossining High School israising money on Go FundMe to help pay for 40 members of the drug-free club to attend a four-day summer leadership conference in Rhode Island.

The kids have contributed to their $425 tuition and they've been selling lottery tickets to help defray the cost. The Ossining Police Department is sending an officer as one of the adult chaperones, and the Westchester County STOP DWI office is providing a bus to get the group up and back.

The GoFundMe campaign asks the rest of the community to pitch in.

As Alice Joselow of Communities That Care said:

You will be funding the leadership development of our 40 Y2Y teens as they become empowered to come back to OHS as youth leaders who will promote wellness and an alcohol & drug-free lifestyle for their peers. This is an investment in youth development and one that will will be transformative and impactful for every teen from OHS Y2Y who attends. Thanks in advance for your support.
