Ossining's Okinawa Expands to Pleasantville
Village officials recently hosted a grand opening for the restaurant.

After several months of anticipation, locals have finally been able to sample the menu of Miyabi Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar, which recently opened at the former Jackson & Wheeler site at 25 Wheeler Avenue in Pleasantville.
Miyabi's owner, Andy Lin, owns several Asian restaurants in the county, including Okinawa Hibachi Steak House in Ossining, Okinawa Japanese Restaurant in Mount Kisco, Asian Temptation in White Plains and Ginban Asian Bistro & Sushi in Mamaroneck.
Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce President Bill Flooks and Mayor Peter Scherer held a ribbon cutting for a restaurant Scherer described as having "a real sort of sophisticated Manhattan vibe inside."

"We are going to have one more in Somers," Lin added. He said his new restaurant there will be under construction this month and will likely be open by the end of 2012.
But for now, his five other Westchester County eateries are keeping him busy, including Miyabi, which can seat more than 100 at a time in a main dining room, sushi bar, bar and private room.
