The Independence Party had a primary.

OSSINING, NY — There were primaries for Westchester County Legislator races in several districts Tuesday. Here are the unofficial results for District 9 according to the county Board of Elections.

Independence Party primary

  • CATHERINE BORGIA (incumbent): 41
  • ROBERT J OUTHOUSE: 91

Outhouse, who is also running on the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party
lines, said, “I am truly humbled and honored to have earned such a resounding victory in the Independence
Party primary. I would like to thank my family, friends and the Independence Party voters for their
support. Independent voters, like most voters, are getting tired of the hyper-partisan and toxic
political rhetoric. Last night they put their confidence in me – a father, police officer, firefighter and
a first-time candidate. I have pledged to work across party lines to get things done and to always put
people before politics. I will not let them down.”
