UPDATE: Ray Rice Celebration in New Rochelle Postponed

Event organizers want to avoid this weekend's stormy weather.

UPDATE: 2:13 PM Feb. 7: Due to the predicted inclement weather, the hometown victory rally for Ray Rice scheduled for Saturday February 9 has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 AM at New Rochelle City Hall, front steps, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801.

 Further details will be forthcoming as the date approaches.

Baltimore Ravens Running Back—and New Rochelle native—Ray Rice will be at New Rochelle City Hall Saturday for a celebration of his team's victory at Sunday's Super Bowl.

The celebration, to which the entire community is encouraged to wear purple, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the front steps of City Hall.

“So many residents of New Rochelle are eager to demonstrate their admiration for Ray’s accomplishments. This community rally will be an opportunity for all of us to offer our congratulations to our hometown hero,” said Mayor Noam Bramson.
