Service, Reception for Doris Elizabeth Walker, 107
The lifelong Ossining resident was a parishioner at Saint Paul's on the Hill.

Doris Elizabeth Walker, a lifelong resident of Ossining, began her journey to Heaven on November 17, 2016. She was 107 and believed to be the oldest Ossining native.
Doris was born on Eastern Avenue in Ossining on March 23, 1909 and was the daughter of Frank and Lena (Smith) See. She married George Walker on November 18,1933 at St. Paul’s Church. He predeceased her in 1971.
Doris attended Lincoln School and graduated from Washington School in 1927. She was honored at Ossining High School at age 103 as the oldest living graduate. She was a lifelong member of St.Paul’s on the Hill and assisted at the church Lantern Shop since its inception.

Sewing and knitting all her life was enjoyed by the many people who benefitted from her talents.
Mrs.Walker is survived by her two daughters, Joan DiLoreto, (companion Warren Fay) and Carole Ann (Ray) Miller. She also leaves five grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held this Monday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St.Paul’s on the Hill Episcopal Church, Ganung Drive, Ossining, NY. Interment will follow immediately at St.Joseph’s Garden located on the church grounds. A remembrance gathering will be held in the Parish Hall.
