Service for Thomas Caterino

He was a longtime member of Rescue 14 in the Ossining Fire Department.

Thomas Caterino (Tom Cat) of Hopewell Junction, formerly of Ossining and Englewood, FL, died in his sleep the early morning hours of December 1, 2016. He was 88.

Tom was born Nov. 12, 1928 in Ossining to Frank & Margaret (Landgraf) Caterino. He served in the Army after WWII.

Tom worked as an Auto Mechanic and was proprietor of Landgraf & Ziegler Auto Repair in Ossining until he retired. He was a 60-year-plus member of the Ossining Fire Department, Rescue 14.

Tom was pre-deceased by his wife Mary, daughter Theresa, sisters Louise & Margaret and his brother Lawrence. He is survived by his daughters Margaret Greenan (John), Karen Caterino, sons Thomas (Hillary), Michael (Joyce), grandchildren Bridgette Packer, Paula Gillespie, Cathleen Greenan, Mary Greenan, John T. Greenan, Anthony Montanaro, Amanda Caterino,Thomas Caterino Jrand great-grandchildren Kaycee, Catherine, Ethan, Grace, Violet, Sean, brother Frank, sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Matero, Clair Caldorol and his dog Daisey.

A memorial gathering and Service will be Tues. 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining.
