Services are Jan. 22 for Bruce L. La Rose of Ossining

Bruce L. La Rose, a longtime resident of Ossining, passed away on Sunday January 18, 2015. Bruce was born on March 27, 1942 and was the son of the late Leo & Lucy (Heredeen) La Rose. He was 72.

Professor La Rose earned his degree from Holy Cross College and Clark University. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S. San Pablo in the Vietnam Era. He was a Professor of Geography and Economics at Rockland Community College until his retirement. He enjoyed travelling, bass fishing and golf.

Bruce is survived by his three daughters Nicole Sanchez, Danielle Elliott and Cosette La Rose; his 5 grandchildren Gabrielle, Christian, Jack, Alex and Mary-Kate.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30 AM at St. Augustine’s Church. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers , donation to Calvary Hospital, 1461 Eastchester Rd., Bronx, NY 10461, would be appreciated.
