Overnight Snow Forecast: Slushy Morning Commute?

Here's how much, where and when snow will fall in the Hudson Valley.

Snow is in the overnight forecast for the Hudson Valley from the Catskills to the Hudson Highlands.

"After winter made its presence felt Sunday night and Monday morning across the Hudson Valley, it will make yet another attempt to invade our region Tuesday night," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Orange County, where 1-4 inches is expected.

In Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties, that snow will probably be mixed with rain. Up to 1 inch could accumulate, the National Weather Service says. South of I-287, it could be all rain.

However, temperatures on the ground are expected to stay above freezing, Potter pointed out, meaning roads would only be wet for Wednesday morning's commute.

Snow will start to fall between 6 p. m. and 10 p.m. and taper off before dawn, Hudson Valley Weather said.
