“Speak Out” with Assemblywoman Sandy Galef Details the Opioid Crisis in the Hudson Valley
Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, Dr. Roy Dorrittie, and Susan Salomone discuss the serious issue of opioid addiction in the Hudson Valley

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with Susan Salomone, the Executive Director of the Drug Crisis in Our Backyard organization, and Roy Dorrittie, a Ph.D. and consultant, about the growing problem of opioid usage in the Hudson Valley on her television program, “Speak Out.”
The Drug Crisis in Our Backyard Campaign is an organization that has been working to promote awareness about drug use, assist those battling addiction, and change the stigma that is infiltrated with addiction. The television show highlights the issues related to the opioid crisis such as, how accessible drugs are to teenagers and young adults, the importance of family communication, and how quickly people can get addicted to the drug itself.
“I am pleased to have Susan and Roy on my television show to discuss the horrific problem the Hudson Valley is facing,” said Galef. “I hope that the information is helpful for my constituents as they learn about the dangerous effects of opioid and drugs, and how it has negatively impacted the members of our community.”
