"Speak Out" with Assemblywoman Sandy Galef Details the State's New Paid Family Leave Law
Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with Eric Williams about Paid Family Leave

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with Eric Williams, who works as the Campaign Director of the New York Paid Family Leave Campaign about the new Paid Family Leave provision in the enacted 2016-2017 New York State Budget on her television program, “Speak Out.”
The New York Paid Family Leave Campaign is a statewide organization that has been working to pass a law mandating that workers be afforded paid leave in the event of a new baby or family member illness, as has been in place in some states and many countries. The television show highlights the issues that came up in the process of passing the law, the compromises made on both sides, and the next steps toward implementing the program.
