Large Crowd Expected Today for St. Ann's Station of the Cross Procession
Good Friday reflections are read in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Tagalog.

From 6-8 p.m. April 3, a Stations of the Cross procession will wind to and from St. Ann’s Church through neighboring streets.
The station announcements and reflections will be read in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Tagalog, explained Christopher Cavanaugh.

The tradition started in 1996, a year after Father Ed Byrne joined the parish. According to Father Byrne, participation has grown each year, with last year’s crowd estimated at 1,400 people.
All are welcome to participate, Cavanaugh said.

Starting from St. Ann’s on Eastern Avenue, it will go south to Ellis Place, then up Route 9 to Denny Street. From there it will turn onto Yale Avenue, and wind up through John Street, Terrace Avenue and Todd Place to Croton Avenue, returning to the church by way of Clinton and Tompkins avenues, Elizabeth Street, and down Prospect Place.
