How did you come up with the name?
My company is associated with Aflac. I thought it was a good fit. Our clients find it fun and humorous.
Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?
It's my hometown. I wanted to own a successful business on Main Street. It can be done

What's the most difficult moment or challenge you've faced as a business owner?
Like all businesses I needed to work on a budget and a plan for success. Once that was in place business tends to run smoothly. Being realistic about recruiting employees and your expectations for your first year is the hardest part.
Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?
There are always challenges and hurdles to jump starting a business. You have to stay positive, stick to your plan and work hard.
What's been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
Hiring local employees and watching them grow and support their families better than ever.
What's the most innovative idea your employees or customers have had that you put into practice?
Many suggestions but the one that sticks in my mind is the best ways to service my clients. They all talk to me about customer service and making sure I'm available and personal.
How do you deal with difficult customers?
I use my two ears and listen. If you listen without speaking you can usually find out how to solve the issue
How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
Absolutely. We are very community motivated. We belong to the Chamber and support all events in Ossining. We are proud to be part of this diverse community.
