Stolen Car Found, Arrest Made In Croton-On-Hudson

The Westchester County Real Time Crime Center was tracking a 2018 Toyota Camry.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — A stolen car was tracked in real time on Monday and the driver was arrested in the village, New York State police reported.

Police from the Cortlandt barracks worked with the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center.

At 10 a.m. troopers received a law enforcement tip from the WCRTCC, which was tracking a 2018 Toyota Camry that had been reported stolen. They stopped the Camry on Route 9 and charged driver Angel Gomez of the Bronx with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony.

Gomez, 21, was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the village of Croton-On-Hudson court and turned over to the NYPD due to a pending investigation in New York City, state police said.
