Summer Construction, Improvements Underway in Ossining Schools

Construction includes new security vestibules at multiple schools, a health center at Brookside and OHS Guidance Office renovations.

From painting to adding security vestibules and a school-based health center, Ossining school buildings are getting a lot of attention this summer.
Here are some details on the work:

  • Park School – Classroom unit ventilators are being added, and the district is adding a security vestibule.
  • Brookside School – Construction is underway on a new lobby, security vestibule, office renovations, school-based health center, and exit from the parking lot. The health center will be the third in the school district run by Open Door Family Medical Centers. The school is also being painted.
  • Claremont School – A new classroom addition is under construction, the district is working on some gym windows to improve air flow, and the school is being painted. A state grant is funding a new security vestibule at the school.
  • Ossining High School – The Guidance Office is being renovated and the auditorium is being painted following some water damage.

“So, there’s a lot of work that’s being done,” Superintendent Raymond Sanchez said in a Facebook Live session Monday. “I’m very thankful to our community because this doesn’t happen without your overall support.”
