By midnight Sunday, all traffic on the northbound and southbound Hutchinson River Parkway was diverted to the Cross County Parkway due to flooding. The Bronx River and Saw Mill River parkways were closed in both directions at the city line, and the BRP was closed also from Chatterton Parkway to the Sprain split in Yonkers.

Many readers posted photos of flooding Monday morning on Hudson Valley Weather's Facebook page.

Rain is what's in the forecast, and a continuation of chilly temperatures.

"The weather pattern shaping up for the first week of May is one that does not hold out much hope for warm weather fans across the Upper Midwest and Northeast," said Renee Duff, AccuWeather meteorologist.
