Visitation, Service for Antonia Palombo
The 89-year-old was one of the many reasons why Sassinoro, Italy is Ossining's sister city.

Antonia Palombo, a resident of Croton and formerly of Ossining, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Antonia was born in Sassinoro, Italy on June 11, 1929 and was the daughter of Michelle and Angelina Mastrantuono. She was 89 years old.
Antonia, who was known as “Nonna Netta” by most, was loved by all. She was strong, kind-hearted, loving and had a special sense of humor. She spent her days enjoying what she loved most, her family, especially her great-grandchildren Melina & Giuseppe, crocheting and taking care of her magnificent garden and beautiful flowers. She was known for her homemade biscotti and cavatelli.

Antonia came to the United States in 1966, where she, her husband and daughter began their new life in Ossining, surrounded by many Sassinorese. She worked as a seamstress for many years and then later retired to enjoy time with her family.
Mrs. Palombo is survived by her loving daughter, Maria and her husband, Arcangelo Cipriano, granddaughter Marisa & husband Giuseppe, grandsons Joseph & Mario, loving great-grandchildren Melina & Giuseppe, her sister Maria and brother Nicola, sister in laws Ney, Joan & Margaret and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday at Dorsey Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining on Monday at 10a.m. Entombment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery.
