Mrs. Garcia, 60, was an active volunteer in Ossining and a certified nurse's aide.

Carmen Garcia, 60, a resident of Ossining, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2018. Carmen was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico on September 14, 1958 and was the daughter of the late William and Bonifacia (Perez) Morales.

Carmen volunteered at many agencies and organizations in Ossining which included St. Ann’s Parish Bingo and the Festival, local Soup Kitchens and Food Pantries and nursing homes. She was a Certified Nurses Aide at St. Mary’s Rehabilitation for over 20 years. “She was a very generous, loving, caring, giving woman to all she met”.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband Jose Valdes; her four children Cynthia Rivera, Daniel (Desire) Rivera, Raymond Garcia and Anthony Rodriguez; 7 grandchildren Cerencia, Tywan, Iris, Tatiana, Raymond, Adryan and Jayden; seven siblings Rosa, Jose, Wanda, Maria, Victor, Maribell and Milagros; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 am at Mana de Vida, 1 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. The interment will be at Dale Cemetery.
