Visitation, Service for Elizabeth M. Lisella

Elizabeth M. Lisella, a former resident of Mt. Vernon passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Elizabeth was born on October 30, 1920, and was the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Ronan) Birgel. She was 94.

Elizabeth was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle Class of 1942 in Business Education. She was married to Mario on July 17, 1943, in Mt. Vernon where they both ran the family business Lisella Wines & Liquors until their retirement in 1975.

Mrs. Lisella is survived by 6 children Andrew (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Ann Otero of Ossining, Thomas (Ruth) of Marshall, IL, Peter (Georgene) of Peekskill, Barbara (William) Lindsey of Houston, TX, Patricia (Steven) Graff of Jacksonville, FL, her daughter-in-law Sheila of Fairfield, OH, 12 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Mario, her son Louis, her son-in-law Albert Otero and her sister Rosemary Whittle.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 3-7 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester, NY.
