
John J. Montaldo, Sr., a resident of Montrose and former resident of Ossining, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017. John was born in Ossining on June 22, 1923 and was the son of the late Moses and Frances (Silvestri) Montaldo. He was 94.
John was a Veteran of WW II in the Army and served in the Pacific with the 877 th Bomber Squadron as a Staff Sergeant. He was a retired Welder with the Teamsters Local 456 in Elmsford.
Mr. Montaldo is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Millicent (Tompkins); his two sons John Jr. (Cathy) and Robert J (Theresa); his 4 grandchildren Christina, Marissa, John (J.T.) and Samuel; his great grandson Jayden.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc. in Ossining. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church, Ossining. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Ossining.
