Visitation, Service for Joseph T. DeAngelis

Joseph T. DeAngelis, longtime Ossining resident, died peacefully on January 26, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.

Joe was born in 1944 in the Bronx to Kathleen Burns and Joseph DeAngelis. He graduated from Fordham University School of Business in 1965 and then joined the United States Navy. He proudly served for 29 years and retired as Captain, Supply Corps, USN. He also worked in the financial industry for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bernadette, whom he married on City Island, NY.

He is the loving father of John (Margie) DeAngelis of Ossining, NY; Nora (Stuart) Horlacher of Yorktown Heights, NY; and Claire (Edton) Ganal of Ridgefield, CT.

He exceptionally loved and was loved by his grandchildren: Luke, Mark, and Jack DeAngelis; Sean and Anna Horlacher; and Sofia, Christopher, and Brendan Ganal.

He is also survived by his brother Michael (Grace) DeAngelis of West Suffield, CT, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc., 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining NY on Sunday from 3-6 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Briarcliff Manor, followed by interment at Saint Augustine Cemetery in Ossining.
