Visitation, Service for Louis Galto, Sr.

Louis Galto, Sr., a former lifelong resident of Ossining, passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2017. Louis was born in Ossining on April 23, 1930 and was the son of the late Gabriele and Margaret (D’Alessandro) Galto. He was 87.

Louis was a graduate of Ossining High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Marcia Correa at St. Ann’s Church on June 16, 1956. Louis was a retired longtime employee with the Cambridge Instrument Co and was a member of the American Legion Post 501 in Ossining.

Mr. Galto is survived by his 2 children Susan Jones and Louis (Sharon) Jr.; his 2 grandchildren Stacy and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his wife Marcia Oct. 16. 2002, along with his 4 sisters Mary Kappel, Ann Lauer, Lucy Haggerty and Rose Vespa; and his 2 brothers John and Tony.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 am at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining. Interment St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
