Visitation, Service for Madelina Quast

Mrs. Quast worked as a Supervisor for Maryknoll Fathers.

Madelina Quast of Ossining passed away on August 13, 2018, at home with her family. She was 88.

Mrs. Quast worked as a Supervisor for Maryknoll Fathers. She had worked for the Fathers for over 20 years before retiring in 1996. Prior to coming to Ossining, she worked as a seamstress for a designer in New York City.

Madelina was born on August 7, 1930 in Jamaica, Queens to Giambattista and Olympia Lucarelli Azzizzi. She married Walter Quast in Hollis, Queens on September 23, 1962. Walter passed away in 1991.

Mrs. Quast had been a resident of Ossining since 1962 coming from Queens. Locally she was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and community.

She is survived by three sons Walter (Diana), Kenneth (Lisa) and Dennis (Kami), one brother Dominick Azzizzi , 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she is pre deceased by her sister Rose Case and brother Gus Azzizzi.

Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Avenue on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass St. Ann’s Church, Ossining on Saturday at 10am. Interment following at St. Augustine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Ossining Fire Dept. Walter Quast Scholarship Fund, 21 State St., Ossining, NY 10562 would be appreciated.
