Visitation, Service For Manuel J. Fonseca

Manuel J. Fonseca, a long-time resident of Ossining, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Born February 17, 1930 in Porto de Mos, Portugal, he migrated with his family to the United States in 1968 and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1980.

He worked for Liberty Lines Bus Co., in Yonkers, NY for 25 years before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family, tinkering around the house, watching football (soccer), and tending to his beloved garden.

Manuel is predeceased by his wife Maria (nee Beato). He is survived by his children Francisco (Leah) and Cristina (David); his grandchildren Elizabeth, Alexander, Andrew and Mia; his sisters Isaura and Joaquina, and brother Joaquim.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, Emwilton Place, Ossining. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10am at St. Ann’s Church followed by interment at St Augustine’s Cemetery.
