Margaret Melrose Montague passed away Monday November 30, 2015. She was born in Tarrytown on December 31, 1923, the daughter Reuben and Loretta (Cunningham) Melrose. She was 91.
She graduated in 1940 from Washington Irving High School, winning the Business Award.
On November 15, 1942 Margaret married Lawrence Montague, Sr. At the time of her husband’s death in 1994, they were married 52 years.

She is survived by her children Loretta and David (Dawn); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sons Lawrence M., Jr.- Ossining Village Treasurer and Joseph A.; her siblings Teresa Martone, Mary Dolcetti and William Melrose.

She was a member of St. Augustine’s Church.
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc., 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Augustine’s Church. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
