Visitation, Service for Merrill Tonning Jr.

Merrill Tonning Jr., a resident of Ossining, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Merrill was born in St. Paul, MN on February 13, 1929, and was the son of the late Merrill and Anne Tonning, Sr. He was 88.

Merrill was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War and received numerous medals and two Purple Hearts.

Merrill is survived by his daughters Karla (Alfred) Grimaldi, Jr., Kerry Tonning, and Karen Tonning.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. with the services Thursday at 11am at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc., 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
