Walter Joseph Cassisi, Jr., of White Plains and formerly of Ossining, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017. Walter was born in Ossining on January 18, 1951 and was the son of the late Walter and Roberta (Miller) Cassisi, Sr. He was 66 years old.
Walter was a sports enthusiast who had a fantastic memory for sports statistics.
He loved dogs, cats, old TV game shows, old radio programs. He also enjoyed reading the Sports, TV and weather sections of the Daily News. He attended Y.A.I./ Institute for People with Disabilities in Tarrytown. It was here that he had many friends who were staff members and participants.

Walter is survived by three siblings, Jeanne (Robert) Stavis, Nancy (Edward) Bazinet and Robert; and two nephews, Eddie and Joseph.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to YAI, 677 White Plains Rd., Tarrytown, NY 10591 would be appreciated.
