
William H. Dougherty of Ossining died June 7, 2015, he was 87.
He was born in St. Augustine, FL on Jan. 27, 1928 to John & Zilla (Kitchen) Dougherty. He moved to Irvington when he was 5.
Bill graduated from Ft. Schuyler Maritime Academy in 1948 and sailed the Atlantic in the Merchant Marine until he enlisted in the Navy in 1955. Bill enjoyed singing with the Old Mill Singers for 20 years and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.

He married Ruth Martinson in 1955 who survives him. Also survived by his 4 children, Linda of Ossining, Bob of South Beach, OR, Bill Jr. of Lyons, CO and David of Fishkill. Also survived by 4 grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial visiting will be Mon. June 15th at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining 10am-11am where services will begin at 11am, Rev. Anthony Karlik officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Habitat for Humanity appreciated.
