Visiting Hours are Feb. 24 for Douglas Zerrilla

A longtime volunteer firefighter, Mr. Zerrilla was a former Chief of the Ossining Fire Department.

Douglas L. Zerrilla, a longtime resident of Ossining, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. Doug was born in Ossining on October 5, 1929 and was the son of Michael & Lillian. He was 85.

Doug was a Veteran of the Korean War in the US Navy. He was the Fire Chief of the Ossining Fire Dept. 1987-88 and was a member of Ladder 41.

Mr. Zerrilla is survived by his wife Judy; his sister Dorothy Thomas; several step children a & many step grandchildren. Doug was predeceased by his 1st wife Laurel; his siblings Michael, Frederick, Thomas, Anthony, Donald, Elizabeth, Theresa, Barbara and Joan, and by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 4-8pm at Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am St. Ann’s Church. Interment Dale Cemetery.
