Fernando de Brito Fornelos, a longtime resident of Ossining passed away on Friday January 16, 2015.
Fernando was born in Giela, Portugal on January 27, 1947 and was the son of Antonio and Rosa (de Brito) Fornelos. He was 67.
Mr. Fornelos moved to Ossining from Portugal on November 2, 1980.

He was a member of St. Ann’s Church and also a member of the Ossining Portuguese Club. He was a retired Laborer/Carpenter with local 60 in Hawthorne.
Fernando is survived by his wife Sara; his 3 children Henry (Dirce), Maria Edite (Tony) Pereira, Carla (Franco) Giambona; his siblings Maria Isabel Martins, Maria Gloria Fornelos, Maria de Brito Pereira, Jose de Brito Fornelos and Laurinda Goncalves; 6 grandchildren Antonio Jr. & Evelyn Pereira, Brian & Patrick Fornelos, Massimo & Sofia Giambona.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00am at St. Ann’s Church. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
