Mary Balolong Baccay, age 78 of Ossining, New York, lovingly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 surrounded by her family. Mary was born on December 26, 1936, daughter of the late Don Marcelo Balolong, former Mayor of Dagupan City and Rufina Balolong (nee Manlongat).

Mary was born and raised in Dagupan City, Philippines. She attended La Union High School. She also was crowned Miss La Union after winning the city beauty pageant. Afterwards, she graduated from Manila Central University earning the degree of Doctor of Medicine and become a pediatrician.

She is survived by Rufino Binua Baccay, her husband of 55 years. Together they raised their two sons, Arbie, a Medical Internist and Francis, a General Surgeon. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren, Chelsea, Jonathan, Christian, Wesley, Oliver, and Natalie.

Mary was a woman of faith and kindness. She was a devout Roman Catholic and parishioner of St. Ann’s Church.

She loved to read. Mary also enjoyed her trips with her husband to Atlantic City. Her family and friends were her passion and delight.

Mary possessed an entertaining sense of humor and above all, was generous to those she met. Throughout her life, she maintained a genuinely sweet demeanor that endeared her to all and won their trust and hearts of many.
