Mary DiRenno of Mahopac, formerly of Ossining, died June 6, 2014, she was 87.
She was born Aug. 15, 1926 in Ossining to Salvatore & Lauretta (Rinaldi) Santucci. She married the love of her life, Anthony DiRenno and they raised three daughters.
During the war, Mary worked for Eastern Aircraft and later Stewart Dress Factory. She later worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Ossining High School. Mary always had a genuine, positive attitude and zest for life. In addition to her overall love and respect for nature, her many hobbies included gardening, sewing and artwork. She was happiest surrounded by her loving family and her beautiful flower gardens.
Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Anthony and brothers Alfred, Remi & Robert Santucci. She is survived by daughters Maria Giorgio (Roger) of Yorktown Hgts., Theresa Vivenzio (Armando) of Cold Spring, Barbara Mellardo (John) of Trumbull, CT, grandchildren Anthony Giorgio(Angela), Michael Giorgio, Alexa Mellardo, Maria Osso(Luigi), Barbara Vivenzio, Michelle Vivenzio, 2 great-grandchildren Michael & Isabella Osso and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mary will be reposing Sun.2-6pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining, Mass of Christian Burial Mon. 11:30am at St. Ann’s Church, burial at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
