Ray Demchak of Putnam Valley died suddenly May 7, 2014, at the age of 64.
He was born Feb. 25, 1950 in NYC to Raymond & Marie Demchak. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years; formerly in Ossining but most recently as Post Master at Mohegan Lake. Ray was big NY Giants Fan and an expert Bowler.
Ray is survived by his wife Joyce of Putnam Valley, son Brian wife Lauren, step-son Raymond, brother Albert his wife Ann, sister ChristineDemchak Tobin her husband Jim, granddaughter Aurora, brother-in-law Bill Scaglione and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister Carmen Scaglione.
Ray will be reposing Saturday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining, burial Monday 10am at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
