OSSINING, NY — Ossining's usual Jan. 1 inauguration ceremony, at which village and town leaders get together, will be a virtual get-together on the first day of 2021 because of the coronavirus.

It'll be live on Zoom at noon.

Outgoing Mayor Victoria Gearity will preside. Thomasina Laidley-Brown, chair of the Ossining Democratic Committee, will offer welcoming remarks. Lindsay Farrell, CEO of Open Door Medical Centers, will give a 'state of the community' address. After a moment of silence in memory of those who have died locally in 2020 in the pandemic, elected officers will be sworn in including:
