HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A storm system out of the west is bringing gusty high winds and heavy rain to the region Tuesday into Wednesday. Some thunderstorms could be thrown into the mix. Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service issued Wind Advisories for the Mid-Hudson Valley and for southern Westchester, New York City and Long Island.
"The amount of moisture that falls could be rather substantial, because the frontal boundary will be slow to clear the Hudson Valley," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.
