Wind, String or Percussion? Mike Risko Music Invites Kids To Try Before They Choose on Free 'Try-Me Day'

- July 28, August 6 and this weekend at the Pleasantville Farmer's Market - First 25 3rd Graders from Ossining to Receive Free Recorder

Mike Risko Music will hold a free Instrument Try-Me Day on-site at the music school (144 Croton Avenue in Ossining) on Thursday, July 28 from 4-6pm and on Saturday, August 6 from 12-4pm, to help kids make one of their first big decisions: choosing the instrument they will play in their school band or orchestra. Also, Mike Risko Music will be at the Pleasantville Farmer’s Market on Saturday, July 23 from 9:30-11am with all of their instruments, so families can “meet the instruments” and try them out first-hand.

This unique service is also available any time by appointment for those who can’t attend these events.

Mike Risko Music School -- a top-rated, award-winning music school and store located at 144 Croton Avenue in Ossining – will also be giving away 25 recorders to the first 25 incoming third graders from Ossining schools (the third grade students there are required to purchase recorders as part of their curriculum). Students must visit the store to claim their recorder while supplies last. The offer is available only to children from Ossining and limited to one child per family.
