Calendar Changes Finalized in Oyster Bay
Update: Board of Education met Tuesday; decision announced Wednesday.

The Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District holds their monthly business meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Oyster Bay High School.
On the agenda are discussions on calendar changes to make up for missed days after Hurricane Sandy and a designation of a representative for a BOCES advisory committee.

Update: Oyster Bay School District released the following details about the calendar changes on Wednesday:
As a result of the eight days of school lost to Hurricane Sandy, the Board of Education has approved the following changes to the remainder of the 2012-13 school calendar:

- Tuesday, February 19 through Friday, February 22 will be regular days of instruction.
- Monday, February 18 (President's Day) will be a snow make-up day, in case of additional school closings prior to that date.
- Monday, April 1 will be a snow make-up day, in case of additional school closings after February 22.
- Wednesday, March 27th and Thursday, March 28th, originally designated as snow make-up days, will hopefully not be needed and will remain vacation days.
