Huntington's John's Crazy Socks Featured on ABC7 New York

John's Crazy Socks, the Huntington-based sock company known for spreading happiness one pair at a time, was featured this week on ABC7 New York as part of the station's Storefront Stories series.

Reporter Joelle Garguilo visited the company's Main Street store to see what makes it more than just a sock shop. The segment aired Friday and can be watched here at the ABC TV website. Yahoo also picked up the story, publishing its own write-up here.

"Joelle brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the story," said Mark Cronin, co-founder of John's Crazy Socks. "And John, well, he was just John."

John Cronin co-founded the company with his father in 2016 after finishing school and struggling to find meaningful work, a challenge many people with differing abilities face. More than half of the company's team today has a differing ability, a fact the Cronins say is central to how the business was built. Since its founding, John's Crazy Socks has donated more than $850,000 to charity partners, including over $150,000 to Special Olympics New York, where John competes as an athlete.

"What means the most to us about this story is what it shows beyond the socks," Mark Cronin said. "Every pair you buy is part of that."

John's Crazy Socks is located at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village. For more information, visit johnscrazysocks.com.
