Cops: 7-Eleven Robbed for Coffee, Red Bull

Police reported three burglaries, two robberies in the Oyster Bay area last week.

Three burglaries and two robberies were reported in the Oyster Bay area last week, cops said.

According to Nassau County Police, communities and commercial areas in Bethpage, Woodbury, Hicksville, and Levittown reported thefts and incidents from March 20-26.

In Woodbury, a home on Fox Hollow Road was reportedly broken into between 9:30-12:30 p.m. March 23. Victims reported electronics, including a flatscreen television and a Playstation, were missing after the break-in.

Meanwhile, in Hicksville, thieves apparently needed a caffeine fix as they robbed a 7-Eleven and made off with Red Bull energy drinks and bags of coffee.

While burglaries have not diminished completely, reports have been steadily decreasing for the past few reported periods.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

  • March 20: Burglary; Broadway, Bethpage; assorted jewelry stolen.
  • March 23: Burglary; Fox Hollow Road, Woodbury; flatscreen TV, Sony Playstation stolen.
  • March 24: Robbery; 7-Eleven, Hicksville; Red Bull drinks, bags of coffee stolen.
  • March 26: Robbery; Target, Levittown; bathing suits stolen.
  • March 26: Burglary; The Great Wok, Hicksville; attempted burglary, nothing taken.
