With summer approaching, Assemb. Charles Lavine, D-Glen Cove, is inviting students in the area to take part in a summer internship program at his district office.

Those selected will participate in weekly think-tank meetings with Lavine, research issues affecting the state and the county, and engage in roundtable discussions to exchange ideas. They will visit the Nassau County Legislature and Glen Cove City Council to learn more about the local state of affairs. Field trips will include local sites including Sagamore Hill, the home of President Theodore Roosevelt.

To apply for the internship program, contact Tara Butler-Sahai at 516-676-0050 or email butlert@assembly.state.ny.us.
