Oyster Bay Wrestler Wins County Championship
Alex Galezia won the Division II Nassau County Individual Wrestling Championship.

Oyster Bay High School senior Alex Galizia captured the 2013 Division Two
Nassau County Individual Wrestling Championship on Sunday at Carle Place High School.
Alex defeated his opponent by a score of 15 to 6 winning the championship title. Alex also won a Conference Championship the previous week to qualify for the county tournament. Alex has won five individual tournaments this year and has a record of 25 and 2.

Three other Baymen Wrestlers competed in the county finals to take runner-up honors. They are two time All-County Ian Estevez, freshman Kevin Velasquez and eight grader Andre Perez. Other place winners for the Baymen were, James Mon, David Lapidus and Jake Dimatos.
In the Conference Tournament a week earlier, James Mon won a Conference
Championship. Andre Perez, Zach Dimatos, David Lapidus, Matt LoRusso, Anthony Panella, Jake Dimatos, Kevin Velasquez and Ian Estevez were named All-Conference wrestlers. The Baymen are coached by Jay Davis, Doug Axman and Jim Durso. Alex Galizia will represent Oyster Bay by wrestling in the prestigious New York State Wrestling Championships in Albany on February 22nd and 23rd.
