Town of Oyster Bay Partners With Community Group to Collect Peanut Butter (longisland.com) — Oyster Bay residents can support local food pantries by dropping off peanut butter and other nut or seed butters at Town Hall North on Audrey Avenue, Town Hall South, or the Town Ice Skating Center from October 1 through November 15. Town officials are partnering with the Massapequa Farmingdale Men's Club to restock shelves with this long-lasting, high-demand staple for families in need.

L.I.'s Largest Car Show At TOBAY Beach Rescheduled To October 3rd (longislandmediagroup.com) — Town of Oyster Bay officials have rescheduled Long Island's largest car show at TOBAY Beach for Saturday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free admission for spectators. Residents can enjoy hundreds of classic and exotic vehicles, live music from That 70's Band, food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly trophy competitions, including a Kids' Choice Award.

High school roundup: Boys and girls soccer, field hockey, boys golf, girls volleyball and boys badminton (newsday.com) — Oyster Bay's girls soccer team is highlighted in a busy slate of Long Island high school sports, with Mary Woodstock scoring in a 5-3 loss to Friends Academy. The roundup also covers boys soccer, field hockey, golf, volleyball, and badminton results from neighboring districts, giving local fans a quick snapshot of how nearby teams are performing this week.
   

4. Officials across Nassau say they're prepared for this weekend's nor'easter (news12.com) — Oyster Bay officials say they're ready for this weekend's nor'easter, building protective sand berms at Tobay Beach to shield tunnels and combat erosion while warning residents that storm severity is still uncertain. Across Nassau County, towns are closing beaches, moving equipment to higher ground, clearing drains, and urging people to stay indoors and avoid flooded roads.
