Nassau Police Charge Woman In Hit-And-Run Of 11-Year-Old Boy
Police said the woman hit the boy with her pickup truck then fled the scene, leaving him seriously injured.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Nassau County police arrested a woman they said hit an 11-year-old boy with her pickup truck in Massapequa Sunday then fled the scene.
According to police, the boy was riding his scooter on Eastgate Road at 3:30 p.m. when he was hit by a pickup truck being driven by Laura Nucatola, 33, of Hemlock Avenue in East Meadow.
Police said Nucatola fled the scene. The boy was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was in stable condition.

Nucatola was charged with leaving the scene of an incident with a serious injury. She was scheduled to be arraigned later Wednesday.
