Schools to Help with Oyster Fest Parking
St. Dominic and OBEN schools to aid in hectic festival parking.

Both Oyster Bay-East Norwich district and St. Dominic High School are doing their part to help out in the frazzled parking situation during the Oyster Festival this weekend.
The OBEN Parent-Teacher Association has been seeking volunteers for two and a half hour shifts to direct drivers to parking spots and help keep streets safe and clear.
At St. Dominic High School, the Father's Guild will be selling all-day parking spots at the school for a $10 fee. A shuttle bus will transport people between the festival and school. The bus will leave from the corner with the church and chapel.

In addition to parking, St. Dominic's reps will sit at the zeppoli, fried banana and fried Oreo booth on the side of the football field, according to their website.
Some 200,000 people are again expected to attend the 29th Oyster Festival on Saturday and Sunday, one of Long Island's premier outdoor festivals, a two-day waterfront party of crafts, food, shows a tall ship and midway rides.
