Storm Cancels, Postpones Town Programs
Town of Oyster Bay announced weekend cancellations.
Town of Oyster Bay announced several programs would be cancelled and postponed as the winter storm approached Friday.
"I urge residents to remove all vehicles from the street so that work crews can plow the roads," wrote Supervisor John Venditto in a statement. "Keep hydrants clear and avoid shoveling snow back onto the roadway. Above all, stay safe during the storm."
The following programs have been postponed or cancelled:

- Town of Oyster Bay GAP programs scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are cancelled.
- Senior Line Dancing Class scheduled for Friday at the Hicksville Community Center is cancelled.
- TOBAY's Workshop Enrichment Programs scheduled for Friday and Saturday are cancelled, including Adult Zumba Fitness at The Hicksville Community Center, Total Body Fitness at the Hicksville Community Center, Kickboxing at North Massapequa Community Center, Little Starz Zumba at North Massapequa Community Center, Dahn Yoga at Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, Golf Fitness at Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, and Adult Zumba Fitness at Syosset- Woodbury Community Center.
- All activities after 5 p.m. at all TOBAY parks are cancelled Friday, including skating at the TOBAY Ice Skating Center and Outdoor Rinks, all programs at the Hicksville Athletic Center, and any scheduled meetings at all Community Centers.
- The Town of Oyster Bay Hockey Challenge scheduled for Saturday is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
