Like many district across Long Island, Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District has created a plan to adjust the academic calendar to make up for lost instruction days after Hurricane Sandy. Related story: Calendar Changes Finalized in Oyster Bay The district announced Nov. 21 that the vacation scheduled for Feb. 19-22 would be canceled and that President's Day on Feb. 18 would be changed to a snow makeup day in case of additional closings. Schools also announced several other days that would be next in line if more days would be needed for instruction. Check out the full rundown here.
