Tell Us: Pros and Cons of New West Shore Road

Residents were relieved as West Shore Road was reopened this week, seven months after Hurricane Sandy ripped it down.

Much of the feedback on the reopening has been positive, with drivers happily cutting their commute between Oyster Bay and Bayville in half.

However, many drivers have come forward noting potholes, stretches of missing fences, or other general warnings about the road, which is still undergoing minor reconstruction.
