11-Year-Old Mugged In Atlantic Terminal Subway, Cops Say

Police are looking for the man who grabbed an 11-year-old boy's cellphone earlier this month.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- A subway mugger targeted an 11-year-old boy in the Atlantic Terminal station and ran off with his cellphone, police said.

The suspect snuck up behind the boy as he boarded a train at the Atlantic Avenue station underneath the Barclays Center at about 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 7, said police.

Video released by police Tuesday night shows the man lunging at the phone, turning and dashing across the platform.

Police are now looking for a young man in his late teens, standing at about 5-foot 10-inches and last seen wearing a blue hoodie, black pants and black and gold sneakers.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
