12-year-old Punched And Robbed In South Slope: Cops

Two boys attacked the 12-year-old on 17th Street and took his phone, police said.

SOUTH SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two people who attacked a 12-year-old and stole his phone on Monday.

The two males, who police did not estimate ages for, came up to the 12-year-old in front of 228 17th Street just after 3 p.m. The first suspect slapped the boy's cellphone out of his hands, knocking it to the ground.

The second suspect then punched the 12-year-old and took the iPhone 7. Both of the boys fled. The 12-year-old suffered from pain and swelling to his face but refused medical attention, police said.

Only one of the attackers, the second suspect, was caught on camera shortly after the incident. Police said a description for the other suspect is not available.
