Nearly 6,000 restaurants and bars opened up for outdoor dining as New York City entered Phase 2 of restarting its economy from the coronavirus crisis last week, but many restaurant owners have warned that they likely won't be able to survive on the limited capacity.

Indoor dining was slated for Phase 3, estimated to start July 6, but city and state officials are now reconsidering the idea given coronavirus spikes in other parts of the country.

In Brooklyn, this week also saw the loss of Crown Heights Caribbean spot Glady's, which said it will be shutting its doors permanently because of COVID-19 financial troubles.

Restaurant goers and staff were quick to mourn the loss of 200 Fifth, which was known throughout the five boroughs as one of the city's best sports bars.

"200 Fifth was our go-to place to watch sports," one customer wrote on Facebook. "Thank you so much for everything. We will miss you - best of luck in the future!"

"I had the best times there! U guys will be missed! It was a staple !," said another.

The managers responded to some of the outpouring of support with their own messages of gratitude.

"Thank you to all for the support," they wrote. "You will be all missed you guys were not customers you all were a 200 fifth family that made it all happen as a manager we all thank you."
